You Know You Are Old When...

This is a picture of my niece Mikayla. She is a senior in high school. Wow. I was her age when she was born. Isn't she beautiful!!! She found out last week that she got into BYU. I'm so excited for her! Yay! Congrats Mikayla!! We're excited to have you closer so we can see you more often. Love you much!

Remembering...

Today was the day our twins were supposed to be born. I miscarried them in July after having them with me for 9 1/2 glorious weeks. It was the first time I had been pregnant and we were so excited! Those were also some of the hardest weeks I have had because I was so sick. It's been an interesting road since then, lots of ups and downs. As I look over the months since they went back to Heaven, I feel blessed for all the love and support I've received and the friendships I have gained and strengthened during that time. It has taught me a lot about life and I have learned so much about myself and the atonement as well. I'm also grateful for the time I had to be their mom. I couldn't let today pass without remembering them. They will always hold a special place in my heart and I will love them forever. Love you both!

Blast From the Past

I logged onto Facebook the other day and had a friend request from someone from high school. I accepted and then explored their profile to see what they are up to now days. It was then that I came across the above picture. Wow! That seems like so long ago, another lifetime. It brought back some fun memories of days long gone by. Although I haven't seen some of these people since our senior year, one of my faithful blog readers is in the picture. :] I know! Tender! Just thought I would share. Enjoy!

Question of the Day

So I have been trying to decide on whether I should keep my blog private or make it public. There are definitely arguments for both sides. Of course, no one wants a stalker...but is it really that unsafe to have things out there? What do you think? Funny Valentines

I know Valentines Day is over but I had to post these Valentines that I have come across on blogs and Facebook. I hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day! Enjoy!

Valentines Day Fun

We had a great Valentines Day. Our friends little boy was baptized earlier in the afternoon and asked me to be the Chorister. They are in our ward and have 5 adorable kids that we just love! They just adore Michael, too. Every time we sit next to them at church, Michael spends the entire meeting with at least two of them on his lap while drawing pictures for them. It is the cutest thing I've ever seen. :] Anyhoo. I felt very honored to be involved. He loves music so we sang 5 different songs. They did a cute thing after he was baptized and while getting dressed... they had everyone in attendance write a little note to him and they are making a book out of it. What a cute idea! I'll have to remember that when we have kids that age.

After the baptism, Michael and I went home and took a fabulous nap together. We both had to work earlier that day and were tired. I don't get a chance to nap with him much. It was cozy and fun.

After the nap, Michael took me out to dinner to Tres Hombres. Yummy food! One of my favorite restaurants. They have a yummy mole dish that I love and another dish that has three types of enchiladas in one dish. Also, they have a great fried ice cream that we shared for dessert. My mouth is drooling just thinking about it.

After dinner we came back to our crib and exchanged presents and then watched a movie. It was a fun night.
